Inspirations and References

I forgot to actually publish this oopsie.

So here's a barebones list of things that inspired me to write this story:

1. The Dunwich Horror - HP Lovecraft. Content Warning: Lovecraft is a terrible racist and xenophobe. 

- Specifically inspired the Unseen Ones (Who I used because I didn't have to time or skills to create a sprite for monsters lol)

- Yog'Sothoth is the Old One Will encounters

2. The Song 'Lunacy' by Swans

3. Will, Roan, and Matthias are all named after authors of weird sci-fi or characters from those stories:

- William Hope Hodgson wrote 'The House on the Borderland'

- Robert William Chambers wrote 'The King in Yellow'

-Henry Wentworth Akely is the main character from Lovecrafts 'The Whisperer in the Darkness'

4. The amazing webtoon: Trailer Park Warlock heavily inspired Matthias' character and a lot of the casual worldbuilding methods I used.
