Will Hodges and Roan Chambers are engaged to be married! Like any young couple, they enjoy going out to shows, traveling, and performing arcane rituals that strain the very fabric of reality.

Before they get married, however, Roan insists on meeting Will's mysterious Uncle, only to discover that the man is the legendary sorcerer Matthias Aekely! 

The high-society Roan and hillbilly Matthias are at each other's throats instantly, and neither of them cares to listen to what Will has to say.

So Will tries to remedy things the only way he knows how: Dangerous world-ending magic not meant for mortals!

What could possibly go wrong?
